Writing on back: "Sophia's & Martha's Home, Christian Hill, P.W.D." (Note: There is no house that looks like this on Christian Hill in 2003.)
Note from Susan Fischer: Evelyn Annis (nee Hartshorn) said that she thought this house may have been located on the right hand side of Christian Hill before coming to Green Road (traveling from the Village). She believes her father told her this house burned down in the early 1900s. |
