An excerpt from an email from Sally sent to the Society on 12/2/10.
On a recent trip to Lancaster, PA, I was in an antique shop and came upon an old post card which I purchased of "High School, Amherst, N.H." published by A. L. Martin. It was postmarked 1929 and addressed to Miss Margaret Reidy, 26 Saratoga St., Lowell, Mass. The message on it reads, "Dear Margaret, I have given up hopes of having a letter so thought I'd send a card thinking maybe you didn't get my letter. I have had quite a few letters from Gracie. Write to me please. Love Eleanor. Eleanor Robertson, Elm Fa__, Amherst, N.H." |
